The August Masterclass will turn out to be the best class - EVER ! What happened is truly amazing. On the first day of the 5 day class, highly acclaimed Director, Brett Ratner ("Rush Hour", "X-Men") came to speak to our incredible actors. His enthusiasm and passion for what he does as an artist was clear from the moment he started to speak. But what happened next was really a "miracle".  After staying for an hour, Brett invited the whole class (40 actors) to come to his house in Beverly Hills to show us his new documentary on the life of actor, John Cazale (Fredo of "The Godfather"). The film was just fantastic!  He has an amazing home that he was kind enough to share with all of us.  But Brett also brought, as a surprise guest, the Oscar winning Producer, Brian Grazer ("The Da Vinci Code", "Angels and Demons", "A Beautiful Mind", "Frost/Nixon") to meet the group. Brett's generosity and support for us was beyond compare. He told me that "he had never ever met such a wonderful group of actors and that he was very happy to help us any way he could".  Then, on the next day, Cameron Diaz's (who I discovered) Agent -Nick Styne from CAA, was so kind to share his insights into the business with the actors. He planned to stay for just an hour and stayed for 6 hours ! The class was able to perform their scenes for him and then they were able to meet and speak with this very special man. He said that "he was just so inspired that he just couldn't leave" We also had 3 of the very best casting directors in Hollywood come to the class to watch and to make comments on the scenes the actors performed.  Randi Hiller ("Ironman" "Crash") was very supportive of the group.  Junie-Lowry-Johnson ("Desperate Housewives" "True Blood") shared her passion and knowledge with the class and April Webster ("Lost", "Star Trek") gave her great insights to all the actors as they performed for her.   All of our guests were very impressed with the talent and energy of the group.  The miracles continued as surprise guests appeared, including Executive Producer, Guy Riedel ("Wedding Crasher", "Cloverfied" and the new Harrison Ford movie) and actor, Stephen Tobolowsky ("Groundhog Day") . I am very grateful to all my assistants and especially to Sarah Ann Schultz  and Adrian Gaeta. I could have never done this without you.   Special thanks to Tia Moeller for the spectacular closing night party at her family's beautiful art gallery in Beverly Hills. Wow!!!
